At work and completely bored out of my mind, so I figured I’d blog a bit so as to divert attention away from the meaningless stuff I’ve been looking up online for the past SIX hours.
We moved offices on Monday and I've stayed behind at the old office to answer phones while everyone else moved into the new space. New office phones still aren’t hooked up. So here I’m sitting in a half empty, freezing cold office with nothing to do. Oh what fun. One co-worker, Cez, is luckily here with me and we’ve been chatting throughout the day, mostly whining about our lack of drive and boredom. This has helped the minutes pass by a bit quicker.
I’m meant to go check out an apartment tonight as I’m still mooching off Karen and Rob, but the thought of an eight o’clock meet and greet with potential new roommates sounds terrible right now. May not be going. I’ve changed my mind about 20 times over the last three weeks concerning where and when would be best to move, house share versus 1 bedroom, beach vs. city, etc etc. I don’t know what I’m doing, but am hoping at some point the stars will align and I’ll magically find a new home exerting as little effort on my part as possible.
My brilliant new plan is to take a day trip out of Sydney, because in these past 6 months I still have not left the city. So sad. I spent all of yesterday researching day trips out of Sydney, so I’m going to rent a car either this weekend or next and Lara and I are going to be country bumpkins nestled by a fire in some log cabin in the Blue Mountains. She does not know this plan yet, but I will be forcing her to participate in golfing, horse back riding and hiking if all goes as I’m scheming. I think it would be entertaining to make this a 10 person journey, but am unsure of my capabilities to convince that many people to come along….we shall see….Below is Leura Lodge and Blue Mountain photos where we may be staying...
What else….Hopefully we will have some fun new pics to post soon as Mr. Douglas Taylor is visiting Sydney shortly and I’m quite excited to grab some drinks with our dearly missed Kiwi Audubon Circle Manager.
Will try and blog again soon. LARA F
